printing a background

If I've formatted the background of a worksheet, can I get this background to print

Hi Ian,

According to Microsoft:

"Background patterns do not print and are not retained in individual worksheets or items that you save as Web pages. However, if you publish an entire workbook as a Web page, the background is retained."

I pasted this right out of the Excel 2000 help file.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
