conditional format won't print in color

I have a series of cells formatted in "conditional". If a particular value in the cell is out of range the cell font is displayed in red. When I print preview the page the display is in red. When I print the document the red font in the cell is printed in black. I am using Excell 2000 and Windows 2000 Professional and am sending to an HP Color Laserjet. Am I having a printer problem or is this some kind of Excel bug? Thanks

I just did a little test, same config, different HP printer (DJ 1120) and worked as expected...

Thanks for the comment. I have done some more testing and I only have this problem when I use legal paper in either landscape and/or portrait. When I use letter the color prints. I can replicate this same error using Word 2000 - ie. letter prints color but legal will not print color in either landscape or portrait. Very interesting ........
