How to convert macro to add in

Hi
I have created a personal macro, which I would like to give it to few people. How would I convert this macro to an addin.
Q if the user who I am giving it to is a bigginer in excel. How would I make it easy for him so he can call it with few click of a button.
Q what is .xla and how is it used. how do you convert macro into .xla file.
