DISPLAY A MSG WHEN RUNNING A MACRO

I want to display a 'Please wait....' message in a box when I am running a macro (not in the status bar). Can anyone give me some very simple instructions as to how I can do this (or send me an example). I am new to VB.

Wow - that indicator is just what I need. I've had a go at replicating the example but as a beginner I can't distinguish between the code for the simple program that the macro runs (something to do with generating random numbers) and the code for the progress indicator - its bewildering and very frustrating.
