Posted by Stephen Hoadley on January 20, 2002 2:44 AM

Since installing service pack 2 on my system.
when I run a macro to convert text to columns the date format changes

it now looks like this

06/01/2002 1
07/01/2002 1
08/01/2002 1
09/01/2002 1
1/10/ 2001
1/11/ 2001
1/12/ 2001
1/13/ 2001
1/14/ 2001

Please can anybody help me

Hi--
You wil need to add a line of code to re-format the date to "dddd dd mmmm yyyy" or as required

Do this in the convertion line or just after

Post up code if problem,

Thank for the help

not quite what I mean

if you put a list of dates in column "A" in the format 01/01/2002

then do data text to column with the line break on /2000 and set as general all goes ok until you record this as a macro

When you run the macro it transposes the month and day with each other in some numbers only

this has only happened since running service pack 2 on windows 2000

before the everything was fine so I am after a fix or something
