deleting macros

in an existing xl 97 workbook i deleted all macros, saved, and closed it. when i reopen the macroless workbook i get the enable/disable macro warning. does anyone have an explanation for this behavior? thanks in advance.

Did you delete all code for any sheets and/or the workbook itself?

you might have to open up vb and right click on the module and choose remove.
