Macro

I really have no idea how to go about writing a basic macro, for example to trim and proper a cell on selection. How can i go about learning how to do such a thing

A good way to start is to take a course and/or purchase a book on the subject. You could also try recording a macro and then, after you have finished recording, take a look at the code. The problem with this is that the code will look like some alien language!

I would start at the book store, get a VBA book for beginners, it will cover the basics. If you can master the "programming" stuff then continue with better books. TO see if your Excel install has the VBA help functions, bring up Excel and hit "Alt+F11" this will get you to the VBA enviroment. If nothing happens, you will need to "add" Excel Help for VBA from the CD.
