I want to create a menu sheet that will allow me to open different workbooks. Everytime I have tried it in the past, it will not let me do it

What's failed in the past? I would have thought that the easiest way to have a 'contents' of workbooks would be to use hyperlinks to the different files in various cells on your menu sheet.
