I have a pivot table in which some of the columns of data change frequently. When I look at the drop down it has values that are not in the detail data I am pulling from but were in there are some point. I do not want to recreate the pivot and was wondering is there a way to remove this data. i.e. under aliases when we use the drop down we have jacks, smiths, andersons and hendersons, but the smiths are not in the detail data.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Rename the field in the data list, refresh the PivotTable, restore the field name in the data list, refresh the PivotTable, drag the field button back onto the PivotTable.
