Automatic Default Font Color

All workbooks open with the automatic default color of blue. In format, cells, fonts, automatic is display and blue is displayed for the automatic color. I can't find the start template, nothing is displayed in xlstart. Word was the same but I could reset the default but can;t for excel. Please help.

Take a look at your style settings:
Format | Style... |Modify... |Font

Hi tfilozof:

Welcome to the Board!

You have to reset your font color selection from Windows Desktop. so go to

Settings|Control_Panel|Display|Appearance|Window_Text
and change Font color to Black (if that is what you want instead of blue)
Apply the new setting and you are all set.
