Hi there,

I need to connect Microsoft Access to my company's DB2 databases on the mainframe. I've installed and configured the client version of IBM DB2 version 7.2 on my PC. I've tested the connection and it looks like it is working properly. When I go to my Access database and try to link in the tables I need, it gives me an ODBC call-failed error.

What's weird is that I can see the table when I go to File, Get External Data, Link Tables. I choose the table I need, but then it says,

"ODBC Call Failed. [IBM][CLI Driver][DB2] SQL0904N Unsuccessful execution caused by unavailable resource. Reason code: "00E30305", type of resource: "00000801", and resource name: "NULLID.SQLL7D03.4141414141584851". SQLSTATE=57011 (#-904)".

I know I have access to these tables because I can get them through the mainframe directly. I just can't seem to get them into Access. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks!

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
