Workspace files not maximized

I found this post: http://www.mrexcel.com/board2/viewtopic.php?t=36395&highlight=workspace

Which is the exact same thing happening to me. And the codes provided there didn't do anything, either.

I saved 2 maximized files as a workspace, but they won't open that way. They both open in windows, and if I then maximize one, the other goes as well and then everything is fine and dandy. The problem is, as much as I use these files, it's a pain to do this every time.

I even went so far as to turning off the "windows in taskbar" option and then saving a new workspace with the same disappointing results.

The knowledge base wasn't any help, either (it basically acted like it didn't know the word "workspace").

Has anyone ever found a way around this?

Excel Facts

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
I hope the following will help.

To get information about the workspace, in my Excel 98, I clicked on Help on the main menubar, then I clicked on ? Microsoft Excel Help F1, then I entered, How does workspace work? in the little message box that appears there. There appear a numer of options. Explore them, I seem to recall that one of them talks about opening the workspace spreadsheets as windows. If that is the case, then, I'm afraid that's the way they will open from a workspace.

Woah. I completely forgot about even asking this question. It was only a month ago? Seems longer.

Anyway, thanks for the ideas, but I think for now I'll just keep doing what I've been doing...after giving up on the workspace idea: Just opening them separately when needed.

Thanks anyway, though :)
