Wednesday, November 28, 2007 Sessions
Morning Session: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm "Power Tips and Tricks for Microsoft Excel"
Course Description: You use Excel 40 hours a week, but do you really know how to unleash the power of Excel? Learn cool secrets and tricks lurking on the Data menu. Learn the ins and outs of Pivot Tables (from the guy who wrote the book on pivot tables!). Create slick charts in a single button click. Add thousands of subtotals in seconds. Don’t be tortured by bad data any longer. Learn some of the changes made in Excel 2007. Participants in the session will receive a copy of Jelen’s book, Learn Excel from MrExcel which is comprised of 277 questions and solutions posed to him during his seminars. Jelen loves new questions and will incorporate them in the seminar. Send your Excel questions in advance via e-mail or bring them to the seminar. Jelen promises, “If you use Excel 40 hours per week, you will save 100 hours each year by attending this seminar!”

Afternoon Session: 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm "Excel for Auditors"
Course Description: Learn more tricks for Excel useful in performing audits. Learn several ways to find duplicates or a unique list of values. Create stratifications, look for outliers, and pull random samples. Create charts that don’t look like they are native to Excel. You will walk through more detailed case studies where you will need to combine several Excel techniques in order to create a solution. Bring a laptop to follow along. Excel for Auditors is a 207 page book that covers both Excel 2003 and Excel 2007.

Thursday, November 29, 2007 Session
Session: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm "Power Macros for Excel"
Course Description: There is only one problem with the Excel macro recorder: It does not work! Have you ever tried to record a macro, only to find that it does not work with every data set? Spend the morning with MrExcel to learn the ins and outs of the Excel macro recorder. Learn when to use relative recording. Then, dive into the VBA editor to understand the syntax of the recorded code. Learn how to add loops in order to perform the same task on many rows of data. Participants will receive VBA & Macros for Microsoft Excel, a 480 page book with over 100 downloadable sample macros to get you started.
Participants of this session will receive a copy of Bill Jelen's book VBA and Macros For Microsoft Excel.

Registration Note: Due to having books shipped to Boise, Idaho, please register by November 20, 2007 to receive your copy of Learn Excel from MrExcel at the seminar. If you register after that date, your book may not be available at the seminar, but will be shipped to you after the seminar.
Continuing Professional Education: Sessions are tailored to meet the CPE guidelines of certification and/or licensing agencies as nearly as possible. CPE attendance forms will be available at the conference. Authority for granting CPE credits is reserved, however, solely to these licensing agencies.
Speaker Bio: Bill Jelen, Excel MVP and MrExcel, has been using spreadsheets since 1985, and he launched the MrExcel.com website in 1998! The website answers over 30,000 questions a year – for free – for readers all over the world. Bill has made more than 60 guest appearances on Call for Help with Leo Laporte and has produced more than 500 episodes of his daily, 2 minute video, Learn Excel from MrExcel Video Podcast. He is the host of Total Training’s Excel 2007 Advanced DVD. Before founding MrExcel.com, Jelen spent 12 years in the trenches–working as a financial analyst for finance, marketing, accounting, and operations departments of a $500 million public company. He also enjoys taking his show on the road, doing a one- to four-hour power Excel seminar anywhere that a room full of accountants or Excellers will show up. Bill will entertain you while showing you the powerful tricks in Excel. He lives near Akron, Ohio, with his wife, Mary Ellen, and sons, Josh and Zeke.
