Thanks to the IMA South Central Chapter, Bill Jelen will be bringing his Power Excel Tips & Tricks and Transitioning to Excel 2007 and Excel 2007 Charts & Graphs to Columbus, Indiana on Thursday, October 22, 2009.

Registration and Continental Breakfast - 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
Morning Session - 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Lunch - 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

You use Excel 40 hours a week, but do you really know how to unleash the power of Excel? In this seminar, you will:

  • Learn cool secrets and tricks lurking on the Data menu.
  • Learn the ins and outs of Pivot Tables (from the guy who wrote the book on pivot tables!).
  • Create slick charts in a single button click.
  • Add thousands of subtotals in seconds.
  • Don't be tortured by bad data any longer! Learn how to take poorly formatted data and convert it to data suitable for pivot tables.
  • Learn some of the changes made in Excel 2007.
Participants in the session can choose one of these two books:
Learn Excel 97-2007 from MrExcel which is comprised of 377 questions and solutions posed to him during his seminars. If this is your first time at MrExcel’s seminar, you should get this book as the book is referred to in the seminar.
Excel Gurus Gone Wild – Doing the Impossible with Microsoft Excel – this book contains some insanely complex formulas and techniques to stretch Excel to its limits. If you already have the MrExcel book from a previous seminar, choose this book.
Jelen loves new questions! Bring your Excel question and Bill will incorporate it into the seminar. Jelen promises, "If you use Excel 40 hours per week, you will save 100 hours each year by attending this seminar!"

Afternoon Session: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. "Transitioning to Excel 2007 and Excel 2007 Charts & Graphs"
Learn all of the cool new features in Excel 2007. Excel 2007 Improvements:

  • Interface changes, big grid, visualize data with Data Bars, Page Layout view, Remove Duplicates, Tables, SmartArt
  • Formula Speed: thinking about alternative ways to build formulas to improve recalc speed by a factor of 100 or more.
  • Helper Cells.
Charts & Graphs: How to choose which type of chart to use, how to build cool charts with Excel 2007, how to make charts that look better than the defaults Excel charts. Create charts with differing orders of magnitude.
Participants will receive the full-color book, Excel 2007 Miracles Made Easy.
3 hours of CPE credit

Registration Note: Please register by October 15, 2009 to receive your book(s) at the seminar. Due to books being shipped to Columbus, IN - registrations after Thursday, October 15th may not have the book available at the seminar, however it will be shipped afterwards.

Continuing Professional Education: Sessions are tailored to meet the CPE guidelines of certification and/or licensing agencies as nearly as possible. CPE attendance forms will be available at the conference. Authority for granting CPE credits is reserved, however, solely to these licensing agencies.
Attendees will earn credit(s) per session depending on length of program attended.
