There are internal ads in rotation at the top of the MrExcel.com Message Board. Google also runs a few ads. As the popularity of the Message Board grew, our hosting company bumped us up from the $10 a month plan. Initially, those increases were shocking - five-fold to $50 a month, double to $100 a month, then to $1000 a month! We moved to a new hosting company with a dedicated server. Their bandwidth allowances have increased and the site now costs about $6000 a year in hosting. In near-perfect harmony, the Google ads are generating just enough to cover the hosting costs so this all works out perfectly.

The banner ads are advertising my books (Learn Excel, Excel Miracles, etc) or services from my friends (LinkHacker, JMT, ThirdForce, PDF to Excel). In case you noticed an ad flying by and need to get back to that ad, this page will show the ads that are in the rotation now. I generally update the ads every 4-6 weeks, depending on what is new.
