Default Formula for Reverse Percentage - Net Amount

I need to know how to do a reverse percentage look up.

    Example:

What is 7% of $100 and what is the net amount

    $100 (includes 7%)

So the formula I need will provide the following:

    Net Amount:$93.46
    7% = $6.54
    Total = $100

    Thanks muchly ~ Eden

    Welcome to the board!

    Net amount = (100/1.07)
    7% = (100-(100/1.07))

If your input data includes the percentage , then it is resulted from this calculation : Original amount X(1+percentage) that is Net amount X (1+R%)
hence the reverse would be Grossup divided by )1+R%

Say in Column A the amount is 100
then in column B you enter =A/(1+7%)
    the result would be 93.46
in column C the formulka is B*7%
    the result will be 6.54
    and column D is B+c

and then you can copy the coloumns and use the paste special and transpose them in the format your are looking for

    Hope this help
