Several successive rows of a worksheet had somehow become hidden. It appears that their height was set to 0. I could expand the height of a row by positioning the cursor between rows. Once expanded, the row number became blue, not black.
The rows would not become visible if I selected cells above and below the hidden rows and adjusted the row height; similarly, selecting the entire worksheet and adjusting row height had no effect.
When I save and re-load, the affected row numbers are still blue.
What did I do to cause the problem?
What is the significance of a blue row number?
