Current database consists of approximately 36,000 rows.

"Control & end" takes me to last row of spreadsheet (row 65,000).

How does one reset this function to the last line of data?

If you have saved and closed your workbook and the problem persists then there's a cell somewhere in there that holds something, either a value or formatting.

So, select rows 35,001 to 65,000 and delete them (Not just clear contents, but actual delete) Then, save again and test.
