If you set the macro warning to low then this will not happen, i would say nowadays only do this for resident LAN files NOT emails NO NO NOT emails attached excel files and any non LAN files not so cleaver.
ME i never reduce security BUT in XP you must as they will not run else wise.
Bit silly that in some ways i guess - then again XP is childish i feel
