Does NUMBERSTRING(1234567890,1) belongs to special feature during Excel developement OR the fuction in prievous version?

For example I am using Chinese Office XP, it display 1234567890 in Chinese Number format. There are two more option, 2 and 3 for NUMBERSTRING.

Also I can have the same effect as NUMBERSTRING(1234567890,1) use custom format, [DBNum1][$-404]G/General. Similar for the second but not for the third option.

Excel Facts

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
emily,

as far as I know, numberstring() is provided for compatibility with earlier spreadsheet solutions - e.g. Lotus etc. So it's kept, but not documented (a bit like datedif() was until MS noticed that people were actually using it.

However, I did a search on google for it & came up with a number of hits from japanese / korean excel site, so I guess numberstring() is still proving useful to certain communities of excel users.

See if anything here helps;

& post back if you need...
