VBA Like Operator

Basically I want to look in the 5th column and Sheet14 and find all the names that match the names in the 1st column of Sheet1

My problem is the names do not match exactly.
I know the Like operator will return True for:
AAA Like "*A*"
but my problem in in my case the A is a variable I get from a specific cell and I have about 40 of those that I need to look up and none are exact matches with the other list.

Is there any way to do this that is relatively simple as I'm a beginner with VBA.
Thanks
Phil
