hello, I have a page of planetary symbols (astrology) in 3 columns (A,B,C ) in date order, that I'd like to copy across on the same line (date) ,to a designated column on the same sheet, in order of the ColD symbol
it won't show here properly as there's no astro font, just tried it.
eg
A B C D E F
date Mercury 180 Venus Mercury180Venus
" Venus 60 Mars Venus 60 Mars
" Jupiter 30 Venus Jupiter 30 Venus

here, we have Venus copied to same line in ColE
Mars " " " ColF
could I have some advice please on how to sort the columns
if it helps, Cols B,C & D themselves could be resorted instead into the order of the ColD symbol-- so I'd have colA, date-- the B,C,D sorted by D, into about 8 Cols to the right
thanks Keith

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
V E N U S MARS
date mercury 180 venus mercury 180 venus
date Venus 60 Mars Venus 60 Mars
date Jupiter 120 Venus Jupiter 120 Venus
date venus 3 Jupiter
not sure if this will turn out any better
I guess is comes down to-- will Excel sort using "symbols" ie grouping like symbols in the one column

On the tool bar of Exel you should have a menu item called HTML.

When you open your workbook & on the sheet that you want to postto the board click on HTMconvert to HTML gi to Board, select reply to this message & paste the into the body of th emessage. It will show a whole lot of HTML code.

Any added information regarding the worksheet can be added before or after the HTML code.
