Anyone know how to view two different workbooks on two different monitors? I am opening one file from a shared network drive and opening a second from a folder saved on my desktop. I am running Excel 2007.

I have tried:

Excel Options
Advaced Options
General
Check - Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)

This has provided no solution.

Excel Facts

Difference between two dates
Secret function! Use =DATEDIF(A2,B2,"Y")&" years"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"YM")&" months"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"MD")&" days"
Don't maximise the application window and you will be able to stretch it across both monitors. You can then position each workbook window (again, not maximised) so that one is on each monitor.

Not sure if this is what you looking for...

1) try opening workbook from your shared folder

2) open another blank workbook and click Open and upload your workbook from the desktop....

I tried shrinking the files and stretch it across both monitors and it still drags both to one screen. I used to be able to view the same two documents on 2003 and now 2007 it doesnt work.

I do it by having two instances of Excel running, one for each workbook. You can then drag the second Excel onto the second monitor, and each can be expanded to full screen.

Be aware that if you copy from one excel and paste into the second, Excel only copies values, not formulae. In fact, if someone knows a way around this, I would be grateful to learn it.
