I have done something strange in my file but I don't know what.

When I type the word Range in my file, it automatically changes the r to lower case.

Any ideas on what I have done wrong?

Thanks,

Raihnman

Go to Tools/Autocorrect Options and check your "replace as you type" list. Sounds to me like you may have gotten the word range with the lowercase in there.

Hope it helps,

That didn't seem to fix it.

I even did a search and replace "range" with "Range". I changed them all but the minute I clicked in the VBA code window, all the R caps when lowercase again.

I searched the code for "Dim Range" & "Dim range" and did not turn up anything.

If I am using the "Set" command, could that be causing a problem?

Oh, you didn't mention that this was in the VB Editor. That's why my suggestion didn't do squat.

The capitalization is supposed to happen.

I entered "set range=asdf" into the VB Editor, and hit enter. It then turned into "Set Range = asdf"

Sorry for the confusion Kristy. Yes, I am in the VB editor.

My problem is that the word "range" always goes to lowercase, even if I type uppercase.

The only way I can replicate that behaviour is if I have at some time dimensioned a variable named "range". Then, even if I delete the Dim statement, Range is still uncapitalized.

The solution is to temporarily insert:

Dim Range

so that the occurrences are capitalized, and then delete it.

Andrew that did it. Thanks. It was more annoying than an actual problem having range in lowercase.

Thanks again,

Dim Range, Delete, Copy, Paste...
