I am filling in data to a number of cells in a row of data, and at the last cell, when the Enter key is pressed, I want to automatically go tothe first cell in the next row.

Can anyone please advise if this is possible using Excel?

regards,
Joe

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
If you press TAB to get to the next cell then enter when you get to the last one it will take you one row down and back to the left to where you first started using TAB.

Example:

Cell A1 enter something then hit TAB which will take you to B1, do it three more times and you should be in E1

Press Enter and it should go to A2

Use Tab key after every cell(not the arrow key)
So:
A1: Enter data--Tab
B1: Enter Data -Tab....
when you hit Enter after last cell in row Excel should bring you back to the first cell of entry in next row A2

Many thanks Robert and Blade Hunter. I have been using Excel for years ( mostly with VBA) and never knew this!
