Hello,

I just discovered the "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" (XP pro, 2002, SP3) and found a couple of good reasons to use it in replacement for "Adobe Acrobat Standard". I need to print about 60 selected sheets from an Excel workbook, by using a simple VBA statement:

Sheets(listOfSheets).PrintOut ActivePrinter:="Microsoft XPS Document Writer on Ne02", prtofilename:=XpsFileName, ...

Unfortunately, this operation takes typically 120 seconds.
A VBA macro based on "acrobat Distiller" needs less than 20 seconds.
Given my needs, this is a real problem.

I would like to optimize the speed to create an xps file with the "Microsoft XPS Document Writer".
I already tested a number of printing preferences without observing any difference.

Would you have some suggestion to improve the speed of the "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" ?

Thanks,

Michel

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
Still interrested !

In addition, I would also like to know how many of you are using XPS (instead of pdf)?

Thanks,

Michel
