Line numbers in modules would be handy, and I can't seem to find a way to enable them. Suggestions?

Excel Facts

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
After clicking the tools, macro, display editor ,
click the view , project explorer. Look for the directory module and double click it. However, if it is password protected, you will not see your module. trying double clicking the vbaproject and type the appropriate password. If you don't know the password, i can't help you.

f you are used to BASIC listings with line numbers you can make them visible by executing the following
instructions:
Start VB and click the menu item “tools”.
Click the item “Options”
Click “Text editor Basic”
Click the small square “Show all settings”
Under “Display” click “Line numers”.

...why would you want line numbers?...

Why want line listings? Because it makes error resolution easier and because its common freaking sense. Which explains why it's not available in the VBE.

There is no such option. Of course your post was 9 years ago - things change.
