I am having trouble renaming cells. If you name a cell press return and you find that you have made an error, or you want to rename it, when you retype the name and press return it just reverts back to the original name.

Why is this? can anyone help?????

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
In order to rename a cell or range that you've already named you can't just type the new name in the range name drop-down. You have to do it via the menu (Insert > Name > Define).
