    Default Updating linked workbooks

    Hi there!

    I'm having a problem with the spreadsheet I'm making. It automatically links to two workbooks on our company's network, but for some reason whenever my boss opens the file, Excel asks him to manually search through our network for the files... but I've asked a couple of other people to open the file, and this doesn't happen to them.

    Would my boss maybe have some sort of option turned on that I don't know about, or is there some VB code I could write so that it'll automatically update for anybody??

    Does he have access to the Network drive where the linked files reside?
