Negative or zero values cannot be plotted on log charts!!

Some of my log charts will have negative or zero values at certain input variable combinations, however, I'm obviously not interested in those charts when this is the case.
Is there any way to stop this error message?

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
Re: Negative or zero values cannot be plotted on log charts.

That's the nature of a logarithm. See the Excel Help topic for "LOG worksheet function".

Re: Negative or zero values cannot be plotted on log charts.

Maybe, you can replace the unacceptable values with NA()

I'm thinking that the ISERROR function may sort this out

Thanks for the input, guys :)

Re: Negative or zero values cannot be plotted on log charts.

I'm having the same trouble, except the message, "Negative or zero values cannot be plotted on log charts", keeps occurring even when the values being plotted are all positive. If I convert the formulae in the cells (that the chart relies on for the plotted data) to values, the message no longer appears - but I want the cells to update and so converting the data to values doesn't help. Is there a way I can stop this message reappearing? (Perhaps turn it off?).

Would be grateful for any assistance,

Leigh_T.

YES please shine some light on this one!

Re: Negative or zero values cannot be plotted on log charts.

I also have formulas that fill in non-negative, non-positive numbers to be plotted as time goes by.... The error message is _really_ annoying - anyone found a way to get rid of it by now?
