Hi - trying to type the following list of symbols in excel - related to Quant analysis.....

List:

Symbols for Alpha, Beta, Theta (theta is oval shape with horizontal line thru it)

a "Not equal to" sign - ie. = with slash thru it

a "Less than or equal to" sign AND a "Greater than or equal to" sign

Proper signs for variance / standard deviation like you'd see in text book

Exponents ie I already know how to calculate but can I make it look like a smaller letter in upper right as opposed to ^(2) for example

Similar to exponent , want to use a "sub zero" symbol - ie symbol with smaller zero to bottom right of symbol ie. to type Null Hypothesis generic symbols

Term "bar" - ie how to have a symbol but with a bar over it....

Text square root sign you'd see in a book (to calculate I know I'd do exponent ^ (1/2) etc., but I'd like to have the proper sign you'd see in a text book .....

Wow - that's alot - hopefully will help.....thanks in advance for any help that may come my way.

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Try going to Insert -> Symbol I hope you'll find the sybols your looking for

Good luck
