I have just imported a big tab delimited text file into Excel but I see a big square symbol (it is the tab symbol) at the beginning of all of my cells. Is there a way to remove these without doing

=right(b6)-1

to all the cells?

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
This:

=CLEAN(B6)

should do it.

Or Data|TextToColumns|Delimited. At step 2 check Tab. At Step 3 click column 1 and check Do not import column (skip).
