1. ## IF(ISERROR) ??

Hiya Board,

In columns A:E the user inputs numerical data,
Column F has the formula =min(A1:E1)...etc
Column G has the formula =max(A1:E1)...etc

where there is no data in columns A:E a 0 (zero) appears in columns F & G

How do I remove with 0 from the cell without removing the formula?

I have tried....

=IF(ISERROR(MIN(A4:E4)),"",MIN(A4:E4))

....But this still leaves the zero in the cell?
I believe this formula does not work because no error is being generated in columns F & G.

Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated
Kind Regards
Ben.

2. ## Re: IF(ISERROR) ??

Try-

=IF(MIN(A1:E1),MIN(A1:E1),"")

Note that this will leave a blank if there's a cell containing 0 which is the lowest in the referenced range. If this is not acceptable please repost and we'll look for a better solution.

If you do not want to generate a zero, but rather a null string, then --

However, you can also take care of the 0 showing via custom formatting.

You can also apply to the formula cells a formatting like

[=0]"";General

5. ## Re: IF(ISERROR) ??

Unless you absolutely need to get rid of the 0's for some reason, Aladin's custom formatting example is superior as it saves a function call in each cell while generating the identical appearance.

Thanks Guys

Great response as usual
