Excel Facts

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
Why not plot them on the same graph in the first place? Or just drag the data series for the second chart onto the first?

If both graphs are formatted with a chart area and plot area of None, they can be overlayed. They also must be objects in a worksheet (not chart sheets).

With the limited function to size and position charts/plots, this can be a daunting task, but it is possible.

I don't comprehend: "a chart area and plot area of None"

Overlaying charts can be done, and it's a real pain. I did it once, and posted the procedure:

It is likely easier to plot both series on the same chart. Here's one way. Copy one chart, select the other chart, choose Paste Special from the Edit menu, and use the Formulas option. The copied chart's data is added to the otehr chart.

Try this(Office 2007):-

Assume your data is a well tabular format.

Select the series you want to overlap, then select 'Format data series' option on right click. Then select 'Series option' tab, enter parameter value 'Series Overlap'=100% and 'Gap wigth' = 5%.

Now make this series transparent to view full effect.
Select 'Fill' tab and select 'No fill' option.

Now make a visible border for this series.
Select 'Border Color' tab, select 'solid line' option and color you want.

Now press 'Close' button.
