I would like to create an "If then" statement to highlight an excel box with a date in it if todays date equals or is greater than the date in the excel box.

Any help on how to write the if then statement, or an easier way to go it??

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
It looks like you can use Format|Conditional Formatting. Read the Help file, and search thru the threads here, on conditional formatting.

Select Conditional Formating... from Format menu

Conditional Format form appears, fill in as below:

Condition 1
Cell value is : less than or equal to : =Today()

Then select the Format... button and
set the cell format to what you like

Click OK

Should do the trick :)
