Hi,

I am just wondering if there is a formula which works out how many week days (Excl Sat & Sun) there are in a particular month.

eg: how many in Jan 03, how many in Feb 03 etc..

Is there an excel formula that does this?

J.

Get help while writing formula
Click the italics "fx" icon to the left of the formula bar to open the Functions Arguments dialog. Help is displayed for each argument.
Assuming that A1 has an entry like

01/01/03

you can use a formula like this:

=NETWORKDAYS(A1,DATE(YEAR(A1),MONTH(A1)+1,0))

NETWORKDAYS requires the Analysis ToolPak AddIn to be installed.

Check out NETWORKDAYS in the xl help (you'll need the Analysis Toolpak)

See the NETWORKDAYS worksheet function which is supplied by the Analysis ToolPak Add-in. In addition to the recommendations above you could also use...

=NETWORKDAYS(A1,EOMONTH(A1,0))
