Does anyone know how to convert or format a decimal to degrees, minutes and seconds?

Sam

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
If you are converting radian measures to degrees, the DEGREE function will get you degrees as a start.

There's probably a better way, but I think I put this together right:

=TEXT(INT(A1),"0° ")&TEXT(INT((A1-INT(A1))*60),"0' ")&TEXT((A1*60-INT(A1*60))*60,"0.0")&""""

(Edit) This is a little easier to read on the end:
=TEXT(INT(A3),"0° ")&TEXT(INT((A3-INT(A3))*60),"0' ")&TEXT((A3*60-INT(A3*60))*60,"0.0")&CHAR(34)
(EndEdit)

Thanks so much. That was exactly what I needed. Thank you.

A big thank you for the others who responded so quickly.

Have a great day.

Why do such elegant, simple solutions seem so ruddy obvious after someone else posts 'em. :) Very nice, Yogi.
