Can someone suggest appropriate code?

If Sheets1(A3:Z40) contain numeric values then, apply Black cell borders.

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Hi,

Try this code:

Code:
Sub CellBorders()

Dim r As Range

For Each r In Range("A3:Z40")
    If IsNumeric(r.Value) Then r.Borders.LineStyle = xlContinuous
Next

End Sub

Code:
Without looping try
Code:
Sub CellBorders()
Range("A3:Z40").SpecialCells(xlCellTypeConstants, 1).Borders.ColorIndex = 1
End Sub
or...
Code:
Sub CellBorders2()
Range("A3:Z40").SpecialCells(2, 1).Borders.ColorIndex = 1
End Sub
If you want less typing
