Explanation of 'Counters'

Hello! I'm trying to decode what a previous intern did in his code, and as an intern myself I'm trying to learn as much as I can! Below is part of his code, and I am very confused on what counters are, and what his list means at the bottom ( i = 0 , j = 0 , etc.) Thanks for any help!

'the first variable will contain
'  501 entries, 0 to 500 = 501

hiker95, so does this mean that those values like ( i = 0, j = 0, etc. ) is un-needed in the code?

If you are going to be looping thru the array (reading or writing data), yes, they are very important.


The following sets your counting variable i to 0

i = 0

Ok great thank you! One more question that comes to mind, what does the "As Double" mean in the Dim statement?

Double says/means that the array can contain numbers like:
123.55
12
0.77
-55.88
