Just learning VBA . I know about the sheets collection and worksheets collection

and I know activesheet. But how do you determine if a given sheet (eg it activesheet, sheets(1) , or sheets("thissheet") ) is a worksheet or a chartsheet.

So you dont do and do something that will crash like sheets(1).range("A1") = 23 on a chartsheet

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
Try this on a workbook that has both a chart sheet and a worksheet.
Code:
Sub GetSheetType()
For Each Sh In ActiveWorkbook.Sheets
MsgBox TypeName(Sh)
Next Sh
End Sub
