You can just type in the sum formula, "=sum(", and then move down to the first cell you want to sum. Then hold down CTRL and SHIFT and press the DOWN ARROW key. That'll take your sum formula to the last cell before the next blank.

Hey is there anything to make the AutoSUM button go down instead of up. I have the summary bars at the top with the detail things under is and would like it to shoot down to the next blank. Thanks.
You can just type in the sum formula, "=sum(", and then move down to the first cell you want to sum. Then hold down CTRL and SHIFT and press the DOWN ARROW key. That'll take your sum formula to the last cell before the next blank.
You could also autosum at the bottom at drag that row to the top if you feel that is quicker.
