Is there a way to lock a text box in Excel but still be able to add text. Just don't want the box to be moved from its position on worksheet.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
Right-click on your text box and choose "Format Text Box."

On the Protection tab, make sure "Locked" is checked. Uncheck "Lock Text."

Then on the Properties tab, select "Don't move or size with cells," and click ok.

Then you just need to protect your worksheet and you should be set!

Hope this helps,
