Hi,

Apologies if this thread already exists somewhere on this forum.

I was using Microsoft Excel 2013 and working on a custom function when my system crashed. Initially, I had problems loading Excel after rebooting.

Having disabled my custom.xlam file so that it doesn't load when I started Microsoft Excel, is there any way to salvage my other custom functions that were saved in this file? Is there anyway to access or work on the custom.xlam file outside of Excel?

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

-Greg

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
As it turns out, I got lucky and stumbled onto the following fix:

Open Excel
Create Blank Worksheet
Double-clicked onto the corrupt xlam file
Disable Macros when prompted
Toggle to Visual Basic Module (Alt-F11)
Copy/Paste wanted functions
