I am struggling with this. Sheet 1 and Sheet 2 are in the same workbook.

cell b4 of sheet 1 contains the name Van Huysen
cell s4 of sheet 1 contains the date 19/02/2016

column a of sheet 2 may contain date 19/02/2016
column l of sheet 2 may contain the name Van Huysen

I need matching data from column q and column u of sheet 2 into sheet 1 ..starting at cell w4 and x4

the name and date must be on the same row in sheet 2 also.

Thanks.

Hi Chester,

for column Q in sheet 2, match criteria placed at W4 in sheet 1

=INDEX(Sheet2!Q:Q,MATCH(B4&S4,Sheet2!I:I&Sheet2!A:A,0))

for column U in sheet 2, match criteria placed X4 in sheet 1

=INDEX(Sheet2!U:U,MATCH(B4&S4,Sheet2!I:I&Sheet2!A:A,0))

after inserting this formula, don't press enter, but press Ctrl + shift + enter, that's an array formula.

thanks
Warm regards
