Hi,
I have a small area of which i require filters for columns which is just for batteries, size & car etc
Overall Area is B2-H21
Row B2:H2 has battery size in each cell.
Row B3:H3 has part number in each cell
Now each cell below its respective battery size & part number has the car it will fit.
I need only the car's to be filtered NOT the size / part number.

My problem is when i apply filters to Row 3 part numbers if i go to say E3 & click sort A to Z it doesn't just do column E but all the others aswell ?

Using a mouse in Excel is the work equivalent of wearing a lanyard when you first get to college
Try custom sort
Select column E >> Go to custom sort >> Continue with current selection
It will sort only column E without sorting other column.
Hope it will solve your problem!
Don't hesitate to ask if its not help you!
