Average in Pivot Table NOT Match Average Using Average Function

Have the following sums:

282,257
269,595
309,007
288,795
277,719
297,628
299,707
298,320

The above yields 289,244 using =AVERAGE(D8:O8); K8-O8 are blank.

In Pivot Table yields 290,379.

Would appreciate explanation and if possible a way to fix. I have searched in vain for answer including Mr Excel Library Pivot Table Data Crunching for Excel 2013. Thanks!
 

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
Check your "blank" values and make sure they are not zero.
If they have a value of zero they will be averaged into the other values, if they are "null" they will be excluded.
290,379 seems to be the correct value.
