I need to reference one cell from an Excel 2010 spreadsheet into a 2010 Word document.

The statement should read simply:

The value in the word document is [ ]

Where [ ] equals "C:\Path\File.xlxs\" and Range equals Sheet1 Range ("A1")

Range "A1" will always be a value - never a formula.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
You could copy the Excel cell, then paste into Word, using Paste Special with the 'paste link' option. That option also gives you a number of paste formats to choose from. From now on, any changes to the Excel cell will be reflected in the Word document.

Perfect! Thank you!
