Search Outlook via Excel

Hello everyone,
I have been using excel in a very standard fashion over the years and am now at the point that my knowledge and the Google cant help me any further. I am in the process to build a customer database in excel that has all customer relevant data. That includes email addresses.

My question is if there is a way to change the format of an email from (mailto to when one presses the email in excel it will trigger outlook and search for this email address?

To boil it down I want to link all relevant email in outlook to an email address with excel.

I am open to ANY suggestions and answers that can make this work.

If you put a "normal" name into any Outlook address fields , Outlook will search its address book for a match. If there is only 1, it will use it. Test the normal names for each of your customers in the To block and see if they correct email is returned.
