Excel compatibility

I initially wrote the macro on Excel 2002 and saved it as an .xls file.

I then made changes to it in Excel 2013 to accommodate more rows (250,000)
and saved the file as .xlsm.

I want to distribute the file to a friend who uses Excel 2010.

Will the Excel 2013 .xlsm file work on his Excel 2010?

When I went to save the file in Excel 2013 I saw provisions to save as an Excel 1997-2003 etc.
but didn't see Excel 2010.

TIA

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Try it - if it doesn't work, blame MS :)

...it really should have worked on, darn MS for keep changing things...
