Task Scheduler Issues with Windows Server 2012 R2

I have a variety of Excel files that contain VBA scripts and run upon opening. I use the Windows Task Scheduler to open these files and run the code inside them. However for some reason I cannot get them to run properly on Windows Server 2012 R2. If I open the files myself in Windows they run without an issue. However if I use the Task Scheduler nothing happens. Basically Excel launches but nothing else happens. I'm assuming it has something to do with the setting for the task. Any ideas how I can get them to run properly?
